A memorial service for mineworkers who were killed following a fatal accident at Impala Platinum Mine's Shaft 11 near Rustenburg is expected to be held this morning. At least 13 mineworkers died following the disaster, with 11 of them dying on the scene and two dying in hospital a few days after the incident.
