Using the story of Peter’s denial of Jesus, Judas Iscariot’s betrayal of Jesus and David’s prayer of repentance after committing adultery and murder, I discuss some of the core emotions associated with negative memories. I identify how those negative emotional responses could also point us to a path of personal redemption depending on the choices we make in response to them.
