Many of us know of someone or perhaps even have lost someone as a result of a heart attack.

Minutes mean myocardium and a blockage to any of the coronary vessels is a medical emergency. When a patient’s life is in the balance, who is the one waiting to open up that vessel again to re-perfuse the heart muscle? and what does that even mean?

Today we talk to David, a Cardiology Advanced trainee within the NSW Public Health Sector who gives us some insight from 000 to the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory. Tune in to find out just how the coronary arteries are assessed and re-opened.
