  • Beautifully Broken From Grief to Grace Episode 2 Broken where nobody can see

A lot of men can function while falling apart. We know how to work hurting, lead hurting, provide hurting, and still show up at the table like nothing is wrong. But when we confuse silence with strength, the pain doesn’t vanish, it just goes underground and comes back as something else: anger, isolation, bitterness, addiction, or snapping at the people we love most.

We lean on Psalms 34:18 and the raw honesty of David, the warrior who admitted he cried through the night. Then we go even deeper with two words that should change how Christian men think about grief and emotional health: “Jesus wept.” If the Son of God could mourn openly, we can stop pretending that spirituality means nothing hurts. God doesn’t need our performance. He wants our heart.

You’ll hear a simple, practical call to pour it out, to pray without polishing every sentence, and to bring the wounds we hide into the presence of a God who already sees. If you’ve been fighting today’s battles with yesterday’s injuries, this is your reminder that you don’t have to bleed publicly, but you do need to bleed somewhere.

Subscribe for more, share this with a man who keeps saying “I’m fine,” and leave a review so more men looking for faith, grief support, and real healing can find the show.

  • Before Anything Else… God.

    MEN’S MANNA PODCAST

    BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE… GOD.

    Genesis 1:1 (KJV)
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

    John 1:1 (KJV)
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

Men, the Bible does not begin by trying to prove God.

    It simply declares Him.

    “In the beginning God…”

Before there was a man, there was God.
Before there was a family, there was God.
Before there was money, a job, a house, a ministry, or a problem—there was God.

Then John reaches beyond creation and declares:

“In the beginning was the Word…”

Genesis takes us to the beginning of creation.
John takes us beyond creation and shows us the One who was already there.

God and His Word were before everything.

That means God was not created to fit into your life.

Your life was created to fit into God.

MEN, WE’VE GOT TO GET THE ORDER RIGHT.

Some of us want God to bless what we built without Him.

We make the decision, then ask God to approve it.
We choose the direction, then ask God to guide it.
We create the mess, then ask God to straighten it out.

    But Scripture starts differently:

    “In the beginning God…”

    Before you make the move—God.
     Before you answer in anger—God.
     Before you lead your family—God.
     Before you spend the money—God.
     Before you make the decision—GOD.

    Proverbs 3:6 says:

“In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Maybe the problem isn’t that God isn’t directing.

Maybe we started walking before we acknowledged Him.

    AND THEN GOD SPOKE.

    Genesis 1:3 says:

“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”

Notice this: darkness did not stop God’s Word.

    The earth was without form.
     It was void.
     Darkness covered the deep.

But when God spoke, darkness had to move.

Brother, your life may feel like Genesis 1:2 right now—without form, empty, dark, uncertain.

    But don’t forget:

    Genesis 1:3 is coming.

    “And God said…”

One Word from God can bring order into your chaos.

    Psalm 119:105 says:

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”

You don’t need another man’s opinion more than you need God’s Word.

JOHN TELLS US WHO THAT WORD IS.

    John 1:14 declares:

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…”

The God who spoke in Genesis stepped into His creation.

The Creator came among the created.

    And His name is JESUS.

    John 1:3 says:

“All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”

That’s why Jesus cannot just be an addition to our lives.

He must be the beginning of them.

Men, if things have gotten out of order, go back to the beginning.

    Go back to prayer.
     Go back to the Word.
     Go back to obedience.
Go back to putting God first.

You may not be able to change yesterday, but you can change what comes first today.

    Matthew 6:33 says:

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

    Did you catch it?

    FIRST.

Genesis says, “In the beginning God.”

John says, “In the beginning was the Word.”

Jesus says, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God.”

God has always demanded the first place.

So, men, before anything else today—

    GOD.

    Before your plans—

    GOD.

    Before your feelings—

    GOD.

    Before your ambitions—

    GOD.

And when everything around you looks dark, remember:

The same God who stood at the beginning and said, “Let there be light,” is still speaking today.

Put God back at the beginning, and let His Word determine what comes next.

This has been Men’s Manna — a place to eat and war against spiritual darkness.

Until next time, stay in the Word, stand in the truth, and keep fighting the good fight of faith.

  • The Ladder

    WHO’S HOLDING THE LADDER?

    Every man is climbing something.

    A family.
     A career.
     A business.
     A ministry.
     A future.

But while you’re looking toward the top, here’s the question:

    WHO’S HOLDING YOUR LADDER?

    The Bible says:

“Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow…”
     — Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 KJV

Men, strength doesn’t mean you never need anybody.

    Even Moses got tired.

    The Bible says:

    “But Moses’ hands were heavy…”
     — Exodus 17:12 KJV

    But Moses wasn’t standing alone.

“…Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side…”
     — Exodus 17:12 KJV

    They didn’t criticize his weakness.

    They didn’t question his calling.

They didn’t wait for him to fall.

    THEY HELD HIM UP.

Brother, you need men around you who can recognize when the weight is getting heavy and say:

“I’ve got this side. You keep fighting.”

    The Bible says:

“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”
     — Proverbs 27:17 KJV

    And again:

“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”
     — Galatians 6:2 KJV

But here’s where Men’s Manna turns the question around:

    WHOSE LADDER ARE YOU HOLDING?

It’s easy to remember everybody who wasn’t there for you.

But who are YOU there for?

    Who are you strengthening?

    Who are you encouraging?

    Who are you praying for?

Who is climbing a little higher because you’ve got your hands on their ladder?

    Scripture says:

“Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another…”
     — 1 Thessalonians 5:11 KJV

    Edify means BUILD.

Men of God ought to be building one another—not tearing one another down.

And don’t climb so high that you forget the people who held your ladder.

    The wife who prayed.

    The pastor who preached.

    The brother who encouraged.

    The friend who stayed.

    The father who taught you.

Don’t forget the hands at the bottom because you’re enjoying the view from the top.

    And fathers, listen:

Another generation is already reaching for the ladder.

    Your sons are watching.

    Your grandsons are watching.

Young men around you are watching.

    Paul told Timothy:

“And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men…”
     — 2 Timothy 2:2 KJV

    What somebody poured into you—

    POUR INTO SOMEBODY ELSE.

    Teach them prayer.

    Teach them faithfulness.

    Teach them how to work.

Teach them how to lead their house.

Teach them how to fall and get back up.

Teach them how to help another man without feeling threatened by his success.

Because we’re not competing to see who can climb the highest.

WE’RE SUPPOSED TO BE HELPING EACH OTHER GET THERE.

    The Bible says:

“Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;”
     — Romans 12:10 KJV

At the end of your life, the greatest question may not be:

    “How high did you climb?”

    It may be:

“HOW MANY MEN CLIMBED HIGHER BECAUSE YOU HELD THEIR LADDER?”

So brother, when you see another man climbing toward what God has called him to do—

    Don’t shake his ladder.

    Don’t kick his ladder.

Don’t stand underneath waiting for him to fall.

    PLANT YOUR FEET.

    PUT BOTH HANDS ON IT.

    And tell your brother:

“KEEP CLIMBING. I’VE GOT THE LADDER.”

“…A threefold cord is not quickly broken.”
     — Ecclesiastes 4:12 KJV

This has been Men’s Manna — a place to eat, get strengthened, and war against spiritual darkness.

    I’m The Traveling Preacher,

    Stay prayed up.
     Stay in the Word.
     Strengthen your brother.
     Lead your house.

    AND KEEP HOLDING THE LADDER.

  • No Weapon

    MEN’S MANNA

    NO WEAPON FORMED SHALL PROSPER

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.” — Isaiah 54:17 KJV

Men, God never promised that the weapon wouldn’t be formed.

    He promised it wouldn’t prosper.

    There is a difference.

    The enemy may build it.
     He may sharpen it.
     He may aim it.
He may even convince you that this time he’s finally got you.

    But formed doesn’t mean victorious.

Some weapons come through circumstances. Some come through betrayal. Some come through disappointment. And some of the most painful weapons come through the tongues of people.

That’s why God didn’t stop with the weapon.

    He said:

“…and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.”

Men, everybody talking about you doesn’t deserve an answer from you.

Sometimes your greatest demonstration of faith is to keep walking while they’re still talking.

“The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” — Exodus 14:14 KJV

Joseph didn’t die in the pit.

Daniel didn’t die in the lions’ den.

    David didn’t fall before Goliath.

The three Hebrew children didn’t burn in the furnace.

Paul’s chains couldn’t stop the Gospel.

And the grave couldn’t hold Jesus.

The weapons formed—but they didn’t prosper.

So why are you afraid of what is forming against you?

If God brought you through yesterday, He hasn’t lost His power today.

“If God be for us, who can be against us?” — Romans 8:31 KJV

Men, quit allowing the enemy to make you fear a weapon that God has already declared will not prosper.

    Don’t abandon your post.

    Don’t neglect your family.

    Don’t stop praying.

    Don’t stop preaching.

    Don’t stop serving.

Don’t compromise your integrity trying to defend your reputation.

    STAND.

    Let your life speak.

    Let your fruit speak.

    Let your faithfulness speak.

    And most importantly—

    LET GOD SPEAK.

Because Isaiah didn’t finish by talking about the enemy.

He finished by talking about YOU:

“This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD…”

No weapon prospering is part of your heritage.

God didn’t say weapons wouldn’t come.

    He said they wouldn’t win.

So straighten your shoulders, man of God.

    The weapon may be formed.

    The tongue may rise.

    The accusation may come.

    The battle may get hot.

    BUT GOD HAS ALREADY SPOKEN.

NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST THEE SHALL PROSPER!

    And when God has spoken—

HELL DOESN’T GET THE FINAL WORD.

    MEN’S MANNA
Food for the fight. Strength for the man.

    From the pen of,
    The Traveling Preacher.
