There is a real challenge in staying mentally fit in the current climate, but where there is a challenge, there is also a huge opportunity for companies to support their employees.
Most workplace initiatives are useful but have been too heavily weighted in the ‘reactive’ space, potentially allowing for those in the vulnerable category to sink to a level of helplessness that makes the path back to good health extremely difficult.
The next proactive wave in this space is to normalise the importance of mental fitness in the same way that physical fitness is prioritised, using proven science from the positive psychology field as well as areas of neuroscience, brain chemistry, and behavioural science.
