The 10th of October is World Mental Health Day and some of you will know that people from Black and Minority Ethnic groups living in the UK are more likely to be diagnosed with mental health problems, be admitted to hospital and experience a poor outcome for treatment.
We speak to one young man, who at only 23 years old, has had to face some of the mental health inequalities I have mentioned.
He talks about his journey and how his poems help him to make sense of his circumstances.
The music in this episode is called Nfitiase (Genesis) and is made exclusively for AKADi Magazine by percussionist Eric 'King Owusu' Owusu and producer Nir Tom Sabag. Find out more about Eric on his IG here: @ericowusuofficial.
