Parents are keenly aware of the risk to mental health for children and teens today. Increasingly schools are actively trying to support parents who are struggling. One great local initiative locally is the Sandringham School Mental Health Conference that took place on November 22. We speak to the organisers and some of their many speakers and trainers who will be contributing to this day. Mr Stuart Kemp, Head of Pastoral Care at Sandringham School and Debi Roberts from Youth Connections Hertfordshire are the brains behind this initiative and will tell us why it’s needed. We will also be speaking to a selection of the many speakers presenting at the conference to give us a sense of the value of it to parents.
