MATES is an evidence-based workplace suicide prevention model, developed to reduce high suicide rates in the construction industry. Their peer-based support programme takes a "boots on the ground" approach to changing the conversation around workplace mental health in male-dominated industries. James and Damian are two field officers who share how mental health impacted their lives and the roads that led them to dedicating their lives to helping suicide prevention with MATES.
