What if the reason money feels hard isn’t because you’re bad with finances — but because your nervous system is trained to expect lack?
In this episode of Mental Health School, we explore the psychology behind money mindset and why abundance doesn’t begin in your bank account — it begins in your beliefs, emotional regulation, and sense of internal safety.
You’ll learn how operating from scarcity keeps you stuck in survival mode, while shifting into abundance changes your energy, decisions, and the opportunities you attract. This isn’t about “manifesting” money through wishful thinking — it’s about understanding how your subconscious expectations, stress response, and self-trust directly influence your financial reality.
This episode includes a guided set of money mindset affirmations designed to help you:
🟢 Release fear and scarcity around money
🟢 Regulate your nervous system when thinking about finances
🟢 Build trust in your ability to receive and manage abundance
🟢 Shift from survival mode into expansion
🟢 Create a healthier, more grounded relationship with money as you move toward 2026
If you want more freedom, stability, and ease in the year ahead, this episode will help you understand what actually needs to change first — and how to begin.

What if your greatest transformation doesn’t start with what you do — but with who you decide you are?
In this episode of Mental Health School, we explore the science and psychology behind “I am” statements — and why the words you speak about yourself directly influence your subconscious mind, nervous system, emotions, and sense of identity.
Every “I am” you repeat sends a signal to your brain about who you believe yourself to be.
Over time, those signals shape your habits, your confidence, your emotional regulation, and even the reality you experience.
This episode isn’t about pretending or positive thinking. It’s about identity alignment — moving from chasing worthiness to embodying it.
You’ll be guided through the Magnify “I Am” Statements, designed to help you:
🔵 Rewire subconscious beliefs
🔵 Regulate your nervous system
🔵 Release shame tied to your past
🔵 Strengthen self-trust and emotional resilience
🔵 Step into a calmer, more confident sense of self
We close with a powerful reminder: Your life doesn’t change when you try harder — it changes when you believe differently.
If you’re ready to stop seeing yourself as broken, behind, or damaged — and start remembering who you truly are — this episode is for you.

Your imagination is always working — whether you’re aware of it or not.In this episode of Mental Health School, I teach you why imagination is the true starting point of manifestation, identity change, and emotional regulation.
This isn’t about wishful thinking or “just be positive.”It’s about understanding how mental imagery trains the nervous system, shapes subconscious expectations, and becomes the blueprint your body and behavior follow.
Inside this episode, you’ll learn:
🔵 Why imagination is always on — and always influencing outcomes
🔵 How default fear-based imagery keeps the nervous system stuck
🔵 Why expectancy is the accelerator behind manifestation
🔵 How identity shifts begin with the pictures you rehearse internally
The episode includes a guided visualization designed to help you consciously direct your imagination, embody your future self, and create emotional safety around expecting good things.
Your imagination isn’t a toy. It’s the operating system of your identity. And when you learn to guide it deliberately, your entire inner world — and outer life — begins to change.
✨ Magnify your mind. Magnify your life.

If you’ve ever wondered why you know better but still don’t always do better, this episode is for you.
In this inaugural episode of Mental Health School, I break down what most of us were never taught: how emotional regulation actually works, why patterns repeat, and how the subconscious mind and nervous system shape behavior long before logic gets involved.
This is not a podcast about willpower, fixing yourself, or avoiding coping mechanisms. It’s about understanding how your mind learns, how emotional safety is created in the body, and why regulation — not discipline — is the foundation of real change.
Drawing from trauma-informed principles, nervous system education, and subconscious retraining, I share:
👉Why alcohol and other coping behaviors aren’t the root problem
👉How emotional patterns form and repeat
👉How the body stores emotional memory
👉Why imagination, visualization, and repetition rewire perception and behavior
The episode ends with a guided, trauma-informed visualization designed to help your nervous system feel safe, grounded, and open to learning. You don’t need to be fixed. You don’t need to try harder. You need the education no one ever gave you.
Class is officially in session. 👨🏫

In this heartfelt and empowering episode of *The Unsoberly Sober Show*, we tackle the ever-relevant question: Should you drink during the holidays? With the season of celebration upon us, I delve into the complex dynamics of alcohol, family gatherings, and the often-overlooked marketing influences shaping our choices.
In this episode of *The Unsoberly Sober Show*, I dive deep into the mindset shifts that allow us to fundamentally change our relationship with alcohol. If you’re looking to break the cycle of drinking by altering the way you *think*, this episode is for you.
In this transformative episode of *The Unsoberly Sober Show*, I’m joined by Nicky as we unpack Dr. Gabor Maté’s intriguing “Green Bush Phenomenon,” a concept that highlights how we often react not to people’s words, but to what those words trigger within us—our deepest insecurities and wounds.Together, we explore our own experiences of internalizing hurtful comments, revealing how our perceptions can distort reality. We also dig into the powerful practice of reframing these interpretations, offering listeners a way to develop emotional resilience and self-esteem. This episode isn’t about sobriety directly, but it’s a must-listen for anyone looking to reduce stress and let go of unnecessary grief. In this eye-opening episode of The Unsoberly Sober Show, I'm joined by my honorary co-host Nicky as we dive into the psychology behind “liquid courage.”
In this episode, I dive into the pros and cons of popular sober-challenge months like Sober October, Dry January, and Dry July. I share my personal journey, including vulnerable stories of how I finally succeeded (kinda!) during Dry January 2020, which led to lasting change. Before that, my Dry Januarys and Dry Julys, I was just counting down the days until I could drink again. I emphasize that “time doesn’t heal all, it’s what you do with that time.”
In this episode, I challenge the conventional approach to sobriety by discussing the hidden downside of quit literature, aka quit-lit—books focused on stopping drinking. While these books aim to inspire, they often keep our minds fixated on alcohol. Psychological studies show that what we read can shape our thought patterns, so constantly reading about alcohol can inadvertently reinforce cravings.
