Leslie is a Training Associate on the Missouri Employment First team. She provides training and technical assistance to service providers and TCMs in Missouri to improve
employment outcomes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Leslie’s previous experience includes employment services and quality assurance, as a Director for MERS Missouri Goodwill Industries and as aProgram Surveyor for Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International. Leslie has previously served on the board of Best Buddies Missouri and the Generation Listen Council with St. Louis Public Radio. She currently volunteers with the Alumni Advisory Board for the Tri Delta chapter at Southeast Missouri State University, assisting in the areas of community relations and DEI, as well as serves on the planning committee for the annualBrain Injury Association of Missouri conference. currently pursuing her Master's in Rehabilitation Counseling. With a professional background in Human Resources and clinical counseling, Rachael has specialized in supporting transitional youth as they enter the workforce. Hercommitment to professional engagement is evident through her continuous pursuit of learning and dedication to excellence in the field of Rehabilitation Counseling.Jessica is currently enrolled as a graduate student at Maryville
University, pursuing a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. Over thepast two semesters, she has contributed as the Graduate Assistant within theprogram. Her professional journey includes internships at both a privatepractice and a vocational program tailored to college students withdisabilities. Jessica is passionate about helping people find excitement andmeaning in their field of work.Karen Lohrman is a Maryville University student pursuing a masters in music therapy.
She graduated with a bachelor of arts in music in 2009 and had a career in church music before making a change in 2021 and beginning her masters program in 2023. In her spare time she reads novels and spends time with her husband and their two kids. Heather is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Missouri. She received her Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling in 2014 from Maryville University after earning her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Education from Maryville in 2012. She has had almost ten years of experience as a therapist with eight years of experience providing mental health services in the school setting which includes providing counseling and crisis intervention services to students and their families. She has also worked in several community mental health settings providing individual and group therapy to adolescents and adults, including adolescents who have experienced sex trafficking and/ or sexual exploitation. She is also a Youth Mental Health First Aid instructor and a private practice therapist in a group therapy practice seeing children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples for therapy. In addition, she has also taught Practicum, Internship, and Advanced Internship as an adjunct faculty member for Maryville’s Rehabilitation Counseling graduate program where she earned the Adjunct Faculty of the Year award in May 2021.

She has developed connections with unique partners and played a key role in creating Missouri Brain Injury Resource Facilitation (MOBIRF). Beth's background includes serving as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, District Supervisor, and Assistant Director of Rehabilitation Technology for Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation (MO-VR), as well as an Adjunct Faculty member at Maryville University. She holds a Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and maintains her credentials as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer (CBIST) and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). Beth is dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities and actively contributes to professional organizations and committees.

Kristi Hammond MA, LPC is a Director of Counseling Services at Youth In Need. Originally from Canada, Kristi came to the U.S. on an athletic scholarship and played college softball. Kristi's story has brought her to many different roles and mentors, forming the foundation of a leader that is passionate about creating access to low-barrier mental health services for children and youth in. Additionally, Kristi serves roles and positions with a focus on ABAR & REDI work. At home, Kristi is a wife, mother, avid reader, board game fanatic, and KC Chiefs fan!! But we're just scratching the surface!
