A new version of Goldenpond (http://gilbertlisterresearch.com/GoldenPond.html) is ready. And soon to be released.

One new feature is downward arpeggios. I knocked this together to play with them. And ended up liking it so much I decided to make it a single.

The cover is Dalle2's take on "Antikythera mechanism in the style of Giovanni Battista Piranesi"

The title, of course, is from Michael Jackson's Billie Jean. I don't know why but when I was listening to this (Goldenpond generated) riff, the phrase kept popping up in my head. Even though the two tracks have nothing to do with each other musically. (And, frankly, I'm more of a Prince man.)

Still, the phrase and this track crystallized into a "thing". So here it is.

The distorted bass is from Aleks Dolgy (https://www.fiverr.com/dolgyyy/be-your-session-rock-and-metal-bass-player#) I asked for something fairly metal. And he did a great job. But I then smothered it in distortion, and some echo and GrossBeat, so unfortunately you can't hear quite how great a job he did. This works for what I wanted though.

I did this track "live" on my YouTube as an example of a set I prepared for an EMOM, using Goldenpond. That performance had a few mistakes and dud moments. It was also longer than I'd have likely played live.

So I've edited this down to remove the mistakes and make it a snappier 11 minutes or so.
