The focus of Mercedes-Benz Cars at this year’s Paris Motor Show (4 to 14 October) will be not only on the motor show premiere of the battery-electric Mercedes-Benz EQC, but also on the world premieres of the GLE and B-Class. Also making its first public appearance is an all-new entry-level model from the world of Driving Performance, the Mercedes-AMG A 35 4MATIC. The new six-cylinder GT 43 4MATIC+ 4-Door Coupé rounds off the offering from Mercedes-AMG at the show.

Emotional, agile and digital: with the A 35 4MATIC Mercedes-AMG is presenting a completely new entry-level model in the world of driving performance. It is based on the new Mercedes front-wheel drive platform and is powered by a new 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo engine with output of 306 PS.

The aesthetic appeal of the GLE is based on the harmonious interaction between emotion and intelligence, which is designed to awaken desire. This is characterised by timeless beauty, a combination of high-grade technology and craftsmanship and reduction to what is really important.

The new GLE has a wealth of innovations. For example, the active suspension system E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL on a 48 volt basis is a world first. Meanwhile the driving assistance systems take another step forward with Active Stop-and-Go Assist. The interior is even more spacious and comfortable, with a third seat row available on request.

With Vision URBANETIC Mercedes-Benz presents a revolutionary mobility concept that goes way beyond existing ideas on autonomous vehicles. Vision URBANETIC eliminates the separation between people moving and goods transport. It enables on-demand, sustainable and efficient movement of people and goods – and applies an innovate approach to fulfil the needs of cities, businesses from diverse sectors as well as city dwellers and travelers. The concept reduces traffic flows, relieves inner-city infrastructures and contributes to an improved quality of urban life.

As the first Mercedes-Benz model launched under the new product and technology brand EQ, the EQC features pioneering design details and hallmark colour accents. As a particularly striking feature, the headlamps and air inlet blend into a black-panel surface. The innovative interior design is inspired by the world of consumer electronics. One example is the louvred edge of the instrument panel, which resembles the cooling ribs of a hi-fi amplifier. Both inside and out, the EQC embodies the design idiom of Progressive Luxury.

Just in time for the IAA Commercial Vehicles Show, which is taking place in Hanover, Germany, from 20 to 27 September 2018, Mercedes-Benz Trucks is unveiling the brand’s new flagship to the world’s press at the Premiere Night. Mercedes-Benz is showcasing a truck which immediately attracts everybody’s attention due to its new, characteristic light signature along the top of the headlamps and its futuristic-looking MirrorCam.

It was at the 2016 Paris Motor Show that Mercedes-Benz first presented its new product and technology brand for electromobility. In mid-2019 the time has come: the EQC is the first Mercedes-Benzvehicle to be launched under the EQ brand. With its seamless, clear design and colour highlights typical of the brand, it is a pioneer for an avant-garde electric look while representing the design idiom of Progressive Luxury. With respect to quality, safety and comfort the EQC is the Mercedes-Benz among electric vehicles. These are accompanied by dynamic performance, thanks to two electric motors at the front and rear axles with a combined output of 300 kW.

The family of compact cars from Mercedes-Benz continues to grow: The A-Class Saloon will be launched at the end of 2018. The four-door saloon has a wheelbase of 2,729 millimetres and the proportions of a dynamic and at the same time compact saloon with short overhangs at the front and rear.

Fresh wind for saving fuel: for three decades now, the aerodynamics engineers at Mercedes-Benz have been repeatedly setting new records. The world record is currently held by the new A-Class Saloon with a Cd value of 0.22 and a drag of less than 0.49 m2. With a Cd value from 0.25, the new A-Class hatchback, too, surpasses its already excellent predecessor.
