You can’t think your way back to yourself. You have to feel your way.
2024. Amed, a fishing village on the east coast of Bali. I arrive wanting intensity, movement, something to happen. What I find is a place where almost nothing does.
Colors I had never properly looked at. Incense in the morning, the sound of the sea at night, the bitterness of Jamu. Slowly the noise drops away and something underneath starts speaking. This episode is about the senses as a door and about discovering that it was silence, not action, that let me live.
Yoga Nidra practice to come home to your senses, 25 min, lying down : https://arianeinnerguide.substack.com/p/yoga-nidra
This is the first episode of Merci, a podcast about people, places and experiences that shaped my path. I worked on this for months, alone. I’m both scared and excited to share it to the world. Season 1 is Bali. Six episodes, one every other Sunday. Fifteen minutes. There’s a practice inside, you can listen lying down.Bali gives you so much, just never quite what you expected.
July 2026. Sebatu, north of Ubud. I come back to Bali nine months after leaving, hoping to find what I’d lost there. Instead I arrive carrying the weight of grief and goodbye.
One morning I step out into a garden facing the jungle and something settles. This place is home and it will never belong to me. This episode is about that, and about why letting go is not the same as giving up.
Practice inside the episode: silence and Tadasana, on letting go. Every episode is followed by a guided practice in my letter, Come Home. Receive the full audio Tadasana practice in my next letter : https://arianeinnerguide.substack.com/aboutTell me in the comments: which place feels like home to you, knowing it will never be yours?
Who am I? Yoga has been asking me.
No certainty but an introduction to this podcast and where we begin: Bali.
I’m Ariane, a slow yoga and Yoga Nidra teacher, guided by Ayurveda. I’ve lived in 6 different countries and, after a year in Bali, I came back to Europe with the need to share what it shaped in me. Merci is where I tell the places, the moments, the people, the yoga of my journey.
