This week we continue our study through the book of James. We begin chapter 2 with Pastor Mike addressing the sin of partiality. There are three reasons why partiality is a sin. 1. The sin of partiality is inconsistent with who believers are in Christ.2. The sin of of partiality is inconsistent with what we profess.3. The sin of partiality is inconsistent with what we've been show through Christ.

This week Pastor Mike closes out Chapter 1 of the book of James looking at a religion that is acceptable to God. In this text there are three marks of a true and acceptable religion through Jesus. 1. Religion acceptable to God is marked by a controlled tongue.2. Religion acceptable to God is marked by a care for the helpless.3. Religion acceptable to God is marked by a pursuit of holiness.

When Confronted with the Word what is our response? Do we obey the Word of God or are we hearers only? This week Pastor Mike addresses an issue believer's have in being not only reading and hearing the Word but also obeying it.
