When we deserved justice, the Lord showed us grace and kindness. In 2 Samuel 8–10, David was establishing his kingdom in Jerusalem. Remembering his covenant with Jonathan, David sought out Jonathan's son, Mephibosheth, and showed him extraordinary kindness. Pastor Lloyd highlights this beautiful picture of God's grace toward us through Jesus Christ, who has shown us mercy and invited us to sit at His table as His children. To reject such a gift would be foolish.
