Because we have given the state the place of God - and have declared the state to be God by virtue of how we think and conduct our lives - the Lord has given us over to that god. He is allowing us to get our bellies full of the state. He will show us what a taskmaster the state is.----Remember the Jews after they were delivered from Egypt-- In Ex. 16 they complained about how their bellies were not full like back in Egypt. They were slaves back in Egypt - but no problem with that as long as their bellies were full.----And that is how most Americans are. Slaves to the state. And they are good with it - as long as their bellies are full. 38 min. Christians are commanded in Scripture to be courageous and to eschew fear. We are to make decisions based upon calm reason, godly wisdom and the direction of the Holy Spirit, not panic, irrational fear or manipulation by the media. This sermon exhorts believers to resist the present hysteria over the Coronavirus and gives practical instruction on overcoming fear and anxiety.-----Mercy Seat is meeting at numerous homes during the state shut down as we have been thrown out of the county building we meet in.- 48 min. God's Word speaks to all matters of life, including the matter of quarantining. The Lord speaks of this in His law in Leviticus 13. And when we look at the law of God we see one thing that comes through loud and clear - you do NOT quarantine the whole of society - rather you quarantine the sick.----There is also a process in God's law to follow to determine who is sick. You do not abridge the rights and freedom of everyone and shut down the whole of society. In this we see the goodness and grace of God's law. God's law is more gracious and protects freedom more than man's law. God's law doesn't destroy the economy and lives of others. God's prescription was intended to protect society not only from the disease, but from economic hardship upon those who weren't diseased. You don't abridge every other person's freedom - you quarantine the sick.----Important links from this sermon---Position paper by doctor from Tennessee- http---mercyseat.net-mscc-docs-COVID-19-Analysis.pdf--fbclid-IwAR2BSzqVuVxUDrDEDPnHg-Vn4H9lse3oKzfNG4JyLE07r-7ErNafcjiZFe----Dr. Yoram Lass, former chief of the Health Ministry of Israel- https---en.globes.co.il-en-article-lockdown-lunacy-1001322696--fbclid-IwAR1o-dGIdZbvfV5y3igMYw0MCl6l2NXp3WN2M1PcjcmMDq-JYJfcXrg-dHo----Open letter from Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai, MIT PhD., to the President of the United States, Donald Trump- https---shiva4senate.com-immune-and-economic-health-for-america-coronavirus-----3-Minute video Warning of tyranny and COVID-19 from Defy Tyrants- https---www.youtube.com-watch--v-LcS93LJdsUQ----Pastor Matt's first sermon on COVID-19- https---www.sermonaudio.com-sermoninfo.asp--SID-32720223138504----MercySeat.net----lessermagistrate.com

This was the last sermon Pastor Matt preached just before the pretendemic. It was preached on March 8th, 2020 - finally published now. The sermon goes through chapter 19 verse by verse - and it ends with a 20-minute strongly worded and heartfelt exhortation. The things said were striking given what happened just a few days later. Strap on your boots - the sermon is 69 minutes long. We pray it is a blessing to your mind - and builds a fire in your heart. MercySeat.net DefyTyrants.com
