The Main Message of the Bible Series: The Account of Noah

The account of Noah in the Bible, is like the rest of scripture, it brings us as of first importance a message about the God, who created us and calls us into loving fellowship with Him. He is powerful, faithful, and in loving-kindness He makes and keeps His covenant with mankind. The account of His covenant with Noah gives us these principles to teach us about the God, who calls us to Himself in Christ Jesus (Gen 6–9; Acts 14:16-17; 17:30-31; 1Cor 1:9; Jn 17:3; 2 Tim 3:15-17). 

The main message of the Bible: God, the Creator of all things, seeks loving fellowship with mankind. If we can keep this idea in mind, it will help guard us from being overwhelmed by the enormity of Scripture, and help us get life from the God who gave it!

The Main Message of the Bible

The Bible is a very large book, up to 800, 000 words in some English translations. Its size alone can be overwhelming to most of us. However, we may find it helpful to remember the main message of the Bible is quite simple: God, the all-powerful Creator, in His loving kindness wants loving fellowship with mankind. 

God’s power and His faithfulness undergird and demonstrate His loving kindness, and all of these work together to provide Him a holy and just way to bring, even sinners, into loving fellowship with Him. This is message can be seen throughout the Bible. It is demonstrated, even in the Old Testament Scriptures, and is made specifically clear in the New Testament.

Faithful fathers are representations of our Heavenly Father in their: authority, leadership, discipline, and compassion (Deut 1:31; 8:5; 32:10-12; Prov 3:11-12; Psa 103:13; Hos 11:3; 2 Cor 1:3-4; Heb 12:5-6; III Jn 4).

Mamas, rain, and the Bible all have this in common – they give us life. Rain, we simply cannot live without as it waters our earth so it can feed us and flourish. Physical life, for us, begins with our mamas. God’s gives us life eternal, if we will follow the example of the earth and receive it and if we will follow the advice of our mamas and take it to heart!
