Do you know how many uniformed services there are (hint — it’s not five)? You’ll find out this week.

This month we will explore the past, present, and future of the uniformed services and the contributions they have made and will make in the future.

Our first week we’re going to have Chief Stuart Hedley, who was my first guest on the show. He’s a Pearl Harbor survivor and a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer.

Stewart recently celebrated his 97th birthday but he remains active doing public service speaking, working with the Pearl Harbor Survivors Club, and is a Deacon of this church.

There is no better representation of the ideals of the uniformed services than Chief Stuart Hedley, and he will take us through his experiences surviving Pearl Harbor and in the Korean War.
