The Beauty of Brokenness, Part 2: Bones That Rejoice | Psalm 51:9–19

God doesn't break us to leave us in the rubble. In Part 2 of our look at Psalm 51, we see three things God does with a broken heart: He rebuilds it, He uses it, and He treasures it.

• The Remaking: God creates in the broken place (vv. 9–12)

Takeaway: Bring God your broken heart, and ask Him for a clean one.

The Beauty of Brokenness, Part 1: When God Breaks Through | 2 Samuel 11–12; Psalm 51:1–8

David tried to manage his sin with one plan after another, and every plan made it worse. Then God sent Nathan. Part 1 of a two-week look at Psalm 51 shows how God breaks through our defenses, and what a heart sounds like when it finally stops defending itself.

• What we do with our sin: we manage it (2 Samuel 11)

Takeaway: Stop defending yourself before God, and agree with Him.
