Sermon #1502 – “Close to Him: Relationship Over Mantle”

November 23, 2025 | Bishop Paul Sharp

Bishop Paul Sharp teaches that God is not looking for mantle-chasers — He’s looking for people who want relationship. Elisha wasn’t shaped by the cloth that fell from Elijah; he was shaped by the years of walking with him. Likewise, Jesus forms us through closeness. “Follow Me, and I will make you.” Discover how spiritual growth happens through relationship, time, and nearness to God.

Key Themes: Relationship with God, Elisha & Elijah, Spiritual Formation, Mentorship, Closeness to Jesus, Learning His Ways
