Messages by Desiring God

You were made to admire Jesus Christ the Lion and the Lamb.

As a Christian, your light might offend our dark world, but Jesus promises a reward greater than anything you stand to lose in this life.

God has made peace with his people, and he calls us to push for peace with friends and enemies alike.

It is not enough to clean up our act on the outside. Jesus is concerned about our heart. Because from the heart are all the issues of life.

God’s mercy floods our lives when we don’t deserve an ounce. And he expects us to overflow with that same grace to others.

The hunger of your life that cannot be satisfied by anything in this world is the constant beckoning of God to remember that you were made for him.

Meekness is not weakness. Meekness begins with God and ends with God.

Jesus didn’t come for those who think they have everything together. He came for people who know they are nothing without God.

The powerful mercy of the kingdom has already come in Jesus Christ and in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Authenticity and depth in worship characterize those who suffer with Christ by bearing the burdens of others.
