The Bible has much to say on the subject of money. This introductory lesson was presented during an informal Wednesday gathering. The first portion of the lesson -a monologue- was recorded- the second portion of the lesson -a dialogue- was not recorded.

Daniel had been praying that God would forgive the sins of he and his countrymen -in an earthly sense-, but God showed Daniel the forgiveness wrought by the work of Jesus Christ -eternally-. Chapter 9 of Daniel.

God commanded Jonah to preach to Nineveh. Jonah disobeyed and suffered discomfort for doing so. The discomfort caused in Jonah's body to turn toward Nineveh, but not his heart ... thus a 360 degree repentance.

Consider parallel dreams- 1- Dan 2-31-35 spoke of four body parts and five kingdoms- and 2- Dan 7-3-14 spoke of four beasts and five kingdoms. Both dreams foretold the rise and fall of four earthly kingdoms and did so with incredible accuracy. Both dreams also foretold of a fifth kingdom, unlike the first four -set up by God and lasting forever-. We shall compare the two dreams, ponder their accuracy and relevancy.

Daniel's integrity was such that- it contributed to Nebuchadnezzar's conversion, it forced Daniel's enemies to invent an crime, and it resulted in Darius' not eating or sleeping. Never underestimate the power of a good reputation -Daniel chapter 6-.

Belshazzar, Nebuchadnezzar's grandson, threw a decadent party as Medes and Persians marched on his city. God crashed that party, judged and sentenced Belshazzar for pride and blaspheme. Belshazzar knew of Judah's vessels but did not know Judah's God or prophet -or too late to help Belshazzar-. Pre-recorded due to winter storm.

Nebuchadnezzar wrote chapter 4 as a letter to all his subjects. In it, he shared the signs and wonders he experienced first-hand- but mostly, Nebuchadnezzar proclaimed the sovereignty of Jehovah God. This chapter describes Nebuchadnezzar's conversion experience, and the conclusion he came to.

Nebuchadnezzar tested the faith of Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Observations from chapter 3 of Daniel- 1- persecutors always return to see how the persecuted fared- 2- the trial hadmore of an impact on the persecutor than on the persecuted- 3- two sets of mighty men were tested, both stayed true, although one picked the wrong god.

This is our 2nd study in the Book of Daniel. Chapter Two describes a troubling dream, Nebuchadnezzar's response to that dream, and Daniel's role in interpreting the dream. A few topics discussed in this message include- anger management, prayer - praise, God's sovereignty over kings - kingdoms, and faith.
