Both Jacob and Esau's behaviors were self serving in Genesis 25 thru the first half of Genesis 28. Then, Jacob's behavior began to change, Esau's behaviors remained self serving.

Three colossal events divide the history of man into four states- man created, man fallen, man regenerated, and man resurrected. We shall look at the capabilities of man in each state.
