In light of Christ’s sovereignty over all things, we get to choose whether or not we will flourish or wither away. We can choose to be broken and built up, or we can choose a route that inevitably leads to our being crushed. God Will Give You More than You Can Handle

As follows of Christ, we are living in a very interesting time. We live life hopefully knowing that Christ has defeated the enemy, but we wait for His glorious return. The question we have to answer is - what does God call us to do during this interim season? Pastor Joe Valenti has the answers to that today as we dive into Luke 19 and the parable of the minas. As we have seen throughout our parables series so far, these are not stories that only tell us more about the nature of our God. They primarily serve to help us check our own hearts. The story of the Rich Man and Lazarus from Luke 16 is another one of those stories. At first glance it may look like it gives us insight into the nature of heaven and hell, but as we dig deeper today, we start to find that it is actually meant to rebuke the rich, religiously self-righteous among us.

The Parable of the Shrewd Manager from Luke 16 is one of those topics. What exactly is Jesus' parable revealing in the hearts of the Pharisees? What does it reveal about our own hearts today? If you have been in church for a while, you've probably heard that we are supposed to love our neighbors like ourselves. Have you ever wondered what that actually looks like though? The truth is, we have all been invited to the most glorious of banquets. There is room at the table for everyone, but only few will accept the invitation. Join us Sunday as we dive into Luke 14:12-24, the parable of the great banquet. We'll seek to uncover the heart behind all those who rejected, accepted, and sent out the invitations.

There are over 2,000 verses in the Bible that speak to our heart attitude towards money. It isn't inherently bad, but it seems as though humanity as a whole has some work to do with how much we idolize God or gold. Join us this week as Pastor Dale Piscura opens up Luke 12 (the parable of the rich fool) and encourages us in what it means to be rich in God versus rich in money.
