Application –

We say we "believe in God" however, when circumstances begin encroaching on our faith in God and His promises, (for most of us) our prayer life suffers. Why? It's one thing to have belief and it's a whole other thing to believe.

Read Matt. 6:33 to see what God promises when those who believe in Him put Him and His kingdom first in their lives.

Application—

• What part of this message was the greatest challenge to you?

• Have you been able to “present your credentials” recently in a social situation?

• Have you spoken to those in your household about how to be mre effective ambassadors in your neighborhood, schools, workplaces, etc.?

• What are some evidences around you of this “worldly point of view”?

• Have you overcome a woeldly point of view of yourself?

• In what ways have you been applying this truth to those around you—viewing them no longer from a

worldly point of view?

•How is your concept of fear changing as you look into the word of God?

•How would you define “godly fear”?

•Mike talked about the need to de-throne “self.” •What are some areas of continuing need in your life in this area?

•To please Him requires faith (Hebrews 11:6). Pray, Obey, Stay in step. Which of these has been your focus this week?

•But they did not obey or incline their ear, but walked in their own counsels and the stubbornness of their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward. •Are there ways in which you life illustrates the truth of this verse?

How did the message change or deepen your understanding of baptism?

If you are a believer, is your testimony more like Paul–dramatic life turnaround, or Timothy–grew up in a home where the faith was prized and came to Christ early. Did you ever wish for a different experience?

Did this message help to understand and appreciate your personal story?

What “His story” is God looking to make through you these days?
