Trust in God can be difficult. Even Abraham had trouble trusting God and would need reminded of God's covenant with him.

When most people encounter hardship or difficult times they believe that God is punishing them for their sin. While God does punish, it is always used as a last or final resort. God loves us and has a multitude of tools in the toolbox to recover from our sin.

Last week we discussed Cain and his failure in his relationship with God. There is more to the story of Cain. Even after his failure and God cursed him, God still blessed him. The same occurs with our relationship with God. Even after we fail, God blesses us to allow us to succeed.

Today we go over Cain and Abel's offerings to the Father. God was not pleased with Cain's offering, but what was the reason? It is the heart in which we give. God wants our hearts to lead our worship.

Many have heard the Proverbs scripture "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." Pride befalls Christians as well distorting the truth of God. As Adam and Eve were told false truth by the serpent and partake of the fruit, so do we Christians tend to distort the truth. Today we cover the topic of pride and how we can correctly observe the truth of God.
