In this new "I Am" series we’ll take a look at the several “I Am” statements Jesus made about Himself, and what they reveal to us about His character. Here KY Ng shares on the statement “I Am the Bread of Life”, where Jesus the image of bread to tell us that through Him, a complete and fulfilled life is available to us not only on earth but in eternity.

Someone asked Jesus, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.” In response, Jesus tells the story of a rich man who yielded an abundant harvest. What would you do if you are blessed with an abundant harvest? As for this rich man, he thought to himself, “What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.” So he comes up with a plan to tear down his barns and build bigger ones to store up his surplus gain. He is very happy about his plan until he is confronted by God. Thank God, He confronts us when we are going in the wrong direction! God often does that through people around us. Let us humbly listen to such counsel and approach the Lord because He loves us and wants to bless us!

Jesus warns against storing up for ourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But we are to store up for ourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. He then tells us the parable of the Lamp of the Body. We must appreciate how amazing is it to be able to store up treasures in heaven! What a privilege! But how can we do that? This is what we want to discover through the parable and Jesus’ teaching.

The parable of the rich man and Lazarus tells us of two men who lived very different earthly lives and what happened to them after they died. This teaching gives us crucial insight into what happens after we leave this world, and how we should carefully manage the material gifts that God has blessed us with while we are on earth.

We begin February with a new series called Money Talks, a series about money and how it is represented in Jesus’ teachings through 4 different parables. This week P. Peter takes us through the Parable of The Shrewd Manager. Like this manager, one day we will be asked by God to give an account of our management of the possessions entrusted to us by God. We want to be trustworthy in handling worldly wealth so that we can be trusted with true riches!

Christ has freed us from the power of sin. Now, the Holy Spirit lives in and with us and his desire is to lead us daily. The key to Jesus powerful life is being led by the Spirit and it pleased the Father. We too can experience that today when we allow the Spirit to give leadership in all areas of our lives.

God not only wants his Spirit to dwell in us but also to come upon us. The outpouring of the Spirit is a sign of God’s anointing. It enables and empowers us to fulfil our God-given assignment. When we align with the Spirit, the supernatural happens as we continue Jesus’ miraculous works today!
