Christmas is a time where the wonder of Jesus flows from Heaven to earth. This week we will hear from Pastor Josh about stewarding the wonder of Jesus and treasuring his joy in our lives.

This week we hear from Petrina sharing on the story of Zechariah and his willingness to respond to God. Things may not always turn out the way you envision but the Lord is gracious and merciful in every season; the past, the present and the future. How will you choose to respond?

This week we continue discovering the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to Luke. The story of Mary reflects her heart of humility as she responds to the word of God, “I am the Lord’s servant, may your word be fulfilled.” Who from us would be able to respond to God’s word in this way? Together, we will learn from Mary’s song about overcoming difficulties and trials.

This week we will hear the angel Gabriel proclaim the birth of Jesus to Mary. Let us be strengthened in our faith to humbly obey the word of God like Mary who says, “Behold, the servant of the Lord. Let it be to me according to your word.”

When you worry about tomorrow it robs you of the joys of today. Joy and worry cannot coexist! The Kingdom of this world finds unrighteousness, strife and worries but the Kingdom of God puts God first in our lives. We do not need to pursue worry when we believe God will provide for us.

Together, we’ll hear from Pastor Cloud about giving of our First Fruits and God’s heart behind our offering.

How do we, and how do you, remain in Christ and his love so that you do not lose your first love? It is not through doing good works or sacrifice, but it is through hearing God’s word and being lead to transformation. We return to our first love by hearing God’s word in community.

You are not only God’s child, but you are His firstborn child! In the Kingdom of God, every one of us is firstborn, special and privileged. We each have the opportunity to receive the full benefits and blessings of being firstborn because of Jesus.
