What changes when someone truly encounters Jesus? Everything.

In Messengers Part 2, Pastor George Sawyer continues the Messengers series by unpacking one of the most powerful identity passages in the New Testament: 2 Corinthians 5:16–21. That means every Christian now carries a divine assignment. We are Christ’s ambassadors, representing the King and His Kingdom on earth. Our mission is not to argue people into faith but to live and share the message: Come back to God.

Pastor Sawyer challenges the mindset of consumer Christianity, reminding believers that we are not meant to only receive from God but to release what He has placed inside us. When faith stops flowing outward, spiritual life becomes stagnant. Instead, followers of Christ are called to be conduits of grace, forgiveness, and reconciliation in a broken world.

This message also emphasizes the necessity of the Holy Spirit’s power. Transformation, reconciliation, and bold witness are impossible through human effort alone. Believers must move beyond being occasionally touched by the Spirit and learn to live continually filled with the Spirit, walking in uncommon faith and uncommon love.
