Jason Padgett is the name of the man who suffered an injury and became a savant. You can visit his website here: https://jason-padgett.pixels.com/

My claims about Padgett’s neurological examinations may not be accurate. Although Padgett has been examined neurologically, I was unable to find references to the findings I referred to. It may relate to a separate case.

Jim Flynn (the Flynn Effect) and Asger Folmann discuss subculture and its link to intelligence, reversal of the Flynn Effect, scientific censorship, intelligence selection pressure, and more. Flynn also explains the trends that lead to his most recent book: A Book Too Risky to Publish, which was, ironically, abandoned by the (first) publisher. Charles Murray, Arthur Jensen, Thomas Sowell, and others, are mentioned.

In this episode, I seek to diagnose one of the major problems in the world right now: that our psychology can be used to manipulate us via social media. I suggest what to look out for, and present probabilistic thinking as the solution. I also conduct a small social experiment on the audience, and present a 6-step formula to gain power on social media.

Peter Boghossian and Asger Folmann talk about impossible conversations, and how the future of "soft"/social science may look. They also cover social justice warriors, and how several academic fields have become so ideology and agenda driven, that they almost resemble religions. What's the underlying issue, and are there any reasonable solutions?

Science journalist, Matthew Hutson, joins me for a talk about artificial intelligence. We debate how AI will likely affect us, and the areas in which we'll likely see the biggest changes in the next few years.

After my latest talk with Gordon Gallup, I asked him the legacy question (posed by Gregory Hickok): how did language evolve? We later jumped on a private Skype call and debated this in depth. This episode is an edited version of the conversation we had. And yes, there is a link to humor and orgasms.

Is vaping dangerous? We still don't know, ironically, in part due to sloppy, biased, or manipulating studies. This is a case study of when science fails. ***
