Hellcats is the first all-female band from Slovenia, Europe. The band was formed in 2003 in Ljubljana by sisters Sasha and Sonja Zagorc, who are also the authors of the lyrics and music. Due to the small size of the Slovenian music scene, they spent considerable time searching for talented musicians eager to create within this genre. In 2015, they organized the first festival “Dan rock žena” (Women’s Rock Day), dedicated to supporting female musicians by providing them the platform they deserve, encouraging their involvement in music, and helping them present their original work. Next March, the festival will celebrate its tenth anniversary.In early 2010, Hellcats released their first single, "Heavy Metal," which appeared on their "Hellcats" EP the following year. In 2012, the all-female quartet toured Russia. Their debut album, Divja pot, was released in Slovenian in 2013, followed by the English version, Warrior Princess, released in Milan, Italy, during their Italian tour in 2014. The album received critical acclaim in Slovenia and beyond, and in 2015, they also toured Germany.In 2022, Hellcats welcomed a new guitarist and singer, forming what has been celebrated as their best lineup to date. They embarked on their first tour in England that same year, receiving a warm welcome. They returned to England in 2023, performing at London’s iconic 100 Club alongside Clem Burke from Blondie. They toured the UK again in May 2024, visiting England and Scotland, as well as Wales. In the fall of 2024, they completed a tour in Western Europe, including performances in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. They also headlined the Vahantarock festival in Finland in the summer of 2024. For Hellcats, being in a band brings joy and companionship, and they enjoy touring as best friends. They have released five music videos: "Steelrider" (2012), "Now is My Time" (2014), "Demon Dreams" (2015), "I Am" (2016), and the latest, "Black Thunder" (2023). Rising heavy blues powerhouse Dead Groove, born from the creative crucible of 2020's lockdown, release the EP Rubicon this week. Eventually she wanted a more stable job and to experience the industry from a new perspective while still utilizing her knowledge and experience in journalism, which led her to publicity. She interned for 1 year to learn the ropes with a trusted colleague and after 3 years of work, she found her way to her home at Atom Splitter PR where she works with bands like P.OD., Wage War, Skillet, Capstan, Make Them Suffer, Miss May I, and more. Alibis was created from a deep desire to express Rainy Terrell’s inner wild, untamed melodic melodies, dark chord progressions and lyrics that had edge and unapologetic truth. A native to California, Rainy had a classical upbringing studying opera and classical piano and was brought up in the theatre. Those elements combined with her love for rock, classical, electronic and pop music, she sought to encompass a sound that would both electrify, and soothe. No stranger to the rock scene, Rainy has been featured on KROQ, MTVu, and played Warped Tour in her past band Neo Geo, garnering her own fan recognition, and much respect. Alibis was born from Rainy's solo project, in which she released multiple singles slowly crafting her unique melodies and dramatic instrumentation. She then brought on Kris Ferris, matching dark, robust melodies on the guitar, to compliment the sound. Melding his love of metal and a heavier sound into Rainy’s vision and thus Alibis was born.
