The pandemic has obviously increased the time we spend on the internet whether from work, school, social media, games and entertainment. In 2020 and beyond, the internet perhaps as always, is the place to be! Imagine if you can be inside the internet instead of just watching it from a screen. You can do the things that you normally do in real life, like shopping, meeting new friends, working and even attending an event such as concerts, sports events and maybe even movie premieres. What if I say it's not just an imagination nor something from a sci-fi movie but a reality that tech companies are spending money, time and effort for this to happen. Well, believe it or not, in fact Mark Zuckerberg the founder of the social media giant Facebook announced the re-branding of his company to Meta Platforms Inc., or just simply Meta. He also announced that the company will hire 10,000 people in Europe to develop what we all learn to know about, the metaverse. It has been a hot topic among tech people recently.
