With Christmas approaching, the New York Mets crossed some big ticket items off of their wishlist.

They added the catcher they needed, former White Sox and Tiger James McCann. They also brought in a GM to serve under Sandy Alderson. In that role, they opted for Jared Porter. Porter has served twice in front offices under Theo Epstein.
