Welcome back to MexCan! We are pumped to release this episode, and we hope that you enjoy it. Today's episode is extra special because it's the first one of the year and we recorded it together in person. :)

Have you ever looked back at some of your past experiences and realized just how much you learned from them? It's Jamen here, and in today's episode, Alan and I decided to reflect and discuss some of the things we've learned from creating this podcast. It's been wonderful getting to work on a project together that allows us to interact with cool listeners like you.
We also ventured to the topic of language learning. Alan shares some of the ways he incorporates English into his everyday life.
Stay tuned and if you'd like to collab, let us know. 😄

Grab your coffee and join us as we chat about the realities of living in Mexico and Canada.
Have you ever wondered at what age can a teenager get their driver's license? Maybe you're interested in going camping because you've seen it in movies. Well, let me tell you, not all of these things are as glamorous and simple as they may seem. Although Canada and Mexico have certain similarities, they also can be quite different at times, and some of these differences may be surprising!
From camping to driving, we chatted about it all! 🚗

Have you ever wanted to become an architect? Why is playing an instrument such a beautiful thing to do? In today's episode, we have a very special guest, Lucio Muniain. Not only was it wonderful getting to meet such a talented person, but it was also very interesting hearing his experience as an architect.
From music to literature, we chatted about it all! 🎶

Grab your coffee and join us as we chat about Amazon and online shopping.
Like many people, we are fans of online shopping. It's so addicting, isn't it? Pretty much anything you think of can be found in a matter of seconds. Sometimes, you don't even have to search it up. The item you talked about may already be popping up as an advertisement! In today's episode, we chat about using websites like Canadian and Mexican Amazon. Plus, we also looked at how Mercado Libre, a Latin American site, compares.

Grab your coffee and join us as we chat about music and the ethics behind it.
You may have heard about some of the recent news surrounding some popular musicians and lawsuits. Alan is the more musically inclined one between the two of us (Jamen here!), and he brought it to my attention. Although we aren't professionals, we do enjoy listening to music like many of you guys. Some of the topics we asked ourselves include:
- What qualifies as copying?
- Finding the line between inspiration and copying
- Is sampling okay?

Grab your coffee and join us as we chat about long-distance relationships with two awesome guests!
Today's episode is all about long-distance relationships, commonly referred to as an LDR. We had the pleasure of talking to Cassidy and Carlos, a couple who now lives together after being in an LDR. Like us, Carlos is from Mexico and Cassidy is from Canada. It was an absolute pleasure getting to speak with them. Sometimes it feels like travel will never go back to normal, which is something no one in an LDR wants to hear. Realizing that you are not alone, even during these uncertain times, is so important! They shared their story and talked about what it was like flying to one another before they were able to close the gap. We also chatted about some ways to stay close even when you are far away from someone. This episode is ideal for anyone who is in an LDR or is curious about what it is like.
