On this week’s episode, I share the story of my Mexico adventure while attending my friend Wendy’s international women’s retreat in Sayulita, Mexico. What started as a beautiful and deeply healing weekend filled with somatic bodywork, a cacao ceremony, and powerful moments of connection quickly turned into an unexpected experience when news broke of cartel activity in nearby Puerto Vallarta.

Our group found ourselves sheltering in place in the small town of Sayulita, processing the situation together in real time. But through it all, something powerful happened. The women at the retreat leaned into community, connection, and presence. What could have been a frightening experience instead became a reminder of the strength that comes from sisterhood.
