Title: महाभारत की गाथा (Mahābhārata kī Gāthā)

(The Saga of the Mahabharata)

[Verse 1: प्रारम्भ (The Beginning)]

हरि ॐ, कलयुग के द्वार पर,

कुरुक्षेत्र की धरती, अमर कहानी।

भरत वंश का वृक्ष, विषाद से भरा,

धर्म और अधर्म की यह रणभूमि।

(Hari Om, at the dawn of Kali Yuga,

The soil of Kurukshetra, an eternal tale.

The tree of Bharata's lineage, heavy with sorrow,

This battlefield of dharma and chaos.)

[Verse 2: शांतनु और गंगा (Shantanu & Ganga)]

शांतनु ने देखा गंगा को जब,

प्रेम हुआ, पर वचन टूटा।

देवव्रत ने लिया भीष्म प्रण,

वंश की खातिर, स्वयं को भूला।

(Shantanu saw Ganga and loved,

But promises were broken.

Devavrata became Bhishma, oath-bound,

For the dynasty, he forgot himself.)

[Verse 3: कौरव और पाण्डव (Kauravas & Pandavas)]

धृतराष्ट्र अंधा, पाण्डु मृत्यु को चले,

पांच पुत्रों का जन्म, दिव्य वरदान।

कौरव सौ, दुर्योधन अंधकार,

पांडवों पर छाया विधि का कोप।

(Dhritarashtra blind, Pandu embraced death,

Five sons born, blessed by gods.

Hundred Kauravas, Duryodhana—the shadow,

Fate’s wrath loomed over the Pandavas.)

[Verse 4: द्रौपदी और द्यूत (Draupadi & The Dice Game)]

द्यूत के पासे ने लूटा सब कुछ,

द्रौपदी का चीर, धर्म का प्रश्न।

भीम ने क्रोध में, अंगदा उठाई,

"युधिष्ठिर, अब युद्ध ही समाधान!"

(The dice game robbed them all,

Draupadi’s sari, dharma questioned.

Bhima roared, lifting his mace,

"Yudhishthira, now war is the answer!")

[Verse 5: कृष्ण और गीता (Krishna & The Gita)]

कुरुक्षेत्र में अर्जुन ने देखा,

सगे-संबंधियों को शत्रु बनाकर।

कृष्ण ने दिया ज्ञान अमृत,

"नाश है अनित्य, आत्मा अमर।"

(On Kurukshetra, Arjuna saw

Kin turned to foes.

Krishna bestowed the nectar of wisdom,

"All that perishes is transient, the soul eternal.")

[Verse 6: युद्ध और विजय (War & Victory)]

अठारह दिन, नारायणी सेना,

भीष्म, द्रोण, कर्ण—सब गिरे।

अश्वत्थामा ने किया अंतिम प्रहार,

पर धर्म की जीत, सत्य की ज्योत।

(Eighteen days, Narayani’s armies,

Bhishma, Drona, Karna—all fell.

Ashwatthama struck the last blow,

Yet dharma triumphed, truth’s light remained.)

[Verse 7: स्वर्गारोहण (Ascension to Heaven)]

युधिष्ठिर ने देखा स्वर्ग द्वार,

कुत्ता साथ, धर्म की परीक्षा।

पांडव चढ़े, कौरव गए,

महाकाव्य यह, ब्रह्माण्ड की रचना।

(Yudhishthira saw heaven’s gate,

A dog beside him, dharma’s test.

Pandavas ascended, Kauravas departed,

This epic—the cosmos’ own creation.)
