MIA Music In Action episodes
- 10 min
- Episode 19: Episode 19 - Guild Guitar
In this episode, I review the Guild acoustic guitar I got at the beginning of the year.
20 min - Episode 18: Episode 18 - Live!
This is a (really) rough recording of my performance at a local festival here in central Indiana. I hope you enjoy!
1 hr 1 min - 8 min
- Episode 16: Episode 16 - Two kinds of saving
This one is not completely music related but we still manage to tie it in.
19 min - Episode 15: Episode 15 - Covers
This week we'll check out a few covers. I love covers when they're done well!
14 min - Episode 14: Episode 14 - Ernie Ball Music Man Original JP7
This is another delayed review. I will talk about my Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci signature 7 string (ain't that a heck of a model name!) that came out in.... I don't remember when but I think I got it in 2005 or 2006. It has been my main work horse and an extremely versatile guitar (that I can't really do justice for!). Give a listen to find out why.
29 min - Episode 13: Episode 13 - Peavey Bass with Bartolinis
I finished a project! I finished a project! Here's what it is.

About MIA Music In Action
From the publisher's feed
This is the MIA Music In Action podcast, where we will be exploring life after music school. We are your hosts, Eric Lund and Preston Carter. We are both graduates of the University of Evansville…
music department. Our music backgrounds, choice of major and current occupations are quite different even though we both went to the same school and studied classical guitar under the same professor. Eric is a Music Therapist, Preston is a Core Systems Administrator for a community bank.
We hope to have a new episode for you every two weeks or so. We will have interviews with former music majors to find out where life has taken them and how they are using their education. We will also speak with folks who are active in the music community either professionally or as a hobby who have no formal musical background.
There are other topics you may hear about as well. We will talk about equipment, current trends in the music industry and historical events that happened around the time the podcast is published. Music is a fascinating subject that seems to point in two different historical directions at once and we will do our best to cover all of it.
We would also like to hear from people interested in the podcast and would love to talk to you, regardless of your musical style of choice or your background. Please send us a message and let us know what you think!
