read a post today on Verywellfit.com, a nutrition and fitness website. They talked about stepping and how many steps is enough. They used lots of data from around the world to establish averages that make you healthy and all sorts of other metrics. To help those folks who work at places where walking is not part of a daily routine... you know, sitting behind a desk all day... they offered up a few suggestions. Stepping, or we know it as walking, is great exercise alternative if you cannot find the time to head to the gym or workout. Sure beats sitting and doing nothing. Gives you more energy, actually. I do this daily and set a goal that I have recently been able to start beating. And I spend lots of time indoors in offices. How do I do this? I purposely avoid shortcuts. Add a few minutes to your daily routines to take care of the extra steps and try things like, take stairs instead of elevators; park as far away from the office as possible to put in those extra steps; use restrooms a
