How do you create hairstyles for a galaxy far, far away?

In Episode 24 of Mic’d Up with Macsrebo, we transport back to Rebel Scum Con for a special conversation with hairstylist Maria Sandoval.

While styling Macsrebo’s hair at the convention, Maria takes us behind the scenes of creating some unforgettable Star Wars looks. She talks about designing Fennec Shand’s hairstyle, working with Hayden Christensen to recreate Anakin Skywalker’s Clone Wars-era look for Ahsoka, transforming characters with wigs and hairpieces, and why Bo-Katan never seems to have helmet hair.

Maria also offers some great advice for cosplayers about screen accuracy, creativity and remembering why we cosplay in the first place: because we love these characters and want to have fun bringing them to life.

What happens when cosplay becomes more than just putting on a costume?
