This biopic was directed by Antoine Fuqua and follows the early life and career of one the biggest stars in history, Michael Jackson. The film sees Jafaar Jackson star as the title character who also happens to be Michael’s real life nephew. Colman Domingo and Nia Long play Joe & Katherine Jackson. Other casting include Miles Teller, Kendrick Sampson, Larenz Tate & Mike Myers all playing special roles in this film. The film spans the early days of the Jackson 5 in the 70s to the release of Michael’s 3rd solo album, “Bad” in 1987. Due to certain legal constraints, a majority of the controversies in the pop star’s career were omitted from the film as well as members of Jackson’s family choosing not to be apart of the film. Despite these obstacles, the film hit theaters nationwide on April 24th, 2026.
