Michael Gomoll is the founder and president of Joey’s Song, a non-profit organization that uses the power of music to fight epilepsy. Joey’s Song was named after Mike’s son, Joey, who had a rare and devastating form of epilepsy that took his life at the age of five. Joey’ had a passion for music and a remarkable talent for remembering songs. Mike wanted to honor Joey’s memory and spirit by creating Joey’s Song.
The foundation has grown over the years, bringing together musicians, supporters, and the epilepsy community to work towards better treatments and, ultimately, a cure for epilepsy.
Michael joined us to talk about the history of Joey's Song and what we can expect to see when the event returns as "Freezing Man" in January 2025!
