Acts 19 tells the story of Paul's years long ministry in the city of Ephesus. This ancient city was tremendously influential and it was known for the Temple of Artemis. How did the culture of the fertility cult in Ephesus inform Paul's teaching to the Ephesians and is it relevant for us today?

If we have perfect love given to us, if grace provides absolute freedom, and if we are continuing the work of Jesus Christ… how do we become a church like found in the Book of Acts and what does it look like?

Acts 18 reports on Paul's year and a half long ministry to the church in Corinth. Later, he pens two New Testament letters (1st & 2nd Corinthians) to address the challenges the local church faces. Today, we find his instructions and application of God's truth to be incredibly relevant. It informs us about what it looks like to be the church under Jesus' perfect law of love.

In Acts 12, the Apostle Peter is imprisoned. His situation seems dire; death seems imminent. Yet, he is able to rest and is miraculously set free. As Peter is freed, we discover we too may be free of worry and the fears of this world.

After Jesus' ascends into heaven, the disciples are left with His marching orders to continue the work He began. This Great Commission compels them to move forward; but, how? How do can do they carry on? In their own strength or in God's?
