  • The Two Most Important Dates in Our Life's

The Two Most Important Days In Your Life…

We have at least one thing going for us: we know the first of these two days —our birthday.
The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why. - Mark Twain

Mark Twain was an American humorist, novelist, and travel writer. Today he is best remembered as the author of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer (1876) and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1885). Twain is widely considered one of the greatest American writers of all time.

Mark Twain is credited with saying, “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” And I might add a third: the day you throw off any distraction and decide to pursue your purpose fully.”

The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well

  • Focus On Solutions Instead of Problems

    Benefits of Focusing on Solutions
    1. *Boosts Creativity*: When you focus on solutions, you're more likely to think outside the box and come up with innovative ideas.
    2. *Reduces Stress*: Dwelling on problems can be stressful and overwhelming. Focusing on solutions helps you feel more in control and calm.
    3. *Increases Motivation*: When you focus on solutions, you're more likely to feel motivated and inspired to take action.
    4. *Improves Problem-Solving Skills*: The more you practice focusing on solutions, the better you'll become at solving problems.
    Strategies for Focusing on Solutions
    1. *Reframe Problems as Opportunities*: Instead of seeing problems as obstacles, try to see them as opportunities for growth and learning.
    2. *Ask Solution-Focused Questions*: Instead of asking "Why is this happening?", ask "What can I do to solve this problem?"
    3. *Brainstorm Solutions*: Take time to brainstorm as many solutions as possible. Don't worry about their feasibility at this stage.
    4. *Focus on What You Can Control*: Instead of worrying about things outside of your control, focus on what you can control and take action accordingly.
    Mindset Shifts
    1. *From "I have a problem" to "I have a challenge"*: View problems as challenges that can be overcome.
    2. *From "I don't know what to do" to "I'll figure it out"*: Have confidence in your ability to find solutions.
    3. *From "This is impossible" to "This is an opportunity"*: View obstacles as opportunities for growth and learning.

  • Its NOT In The Stars or The Cosmic Forces

This quote, "It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves," is attributed to William Shakespeare,

and it means that our fate is not predetermined by the stars or cosmic forces,

but is shaped by our own choices and actions

This quote emphasizes personal responsibility and agency.

It suggests that our fate is not predetermined by external factors,

    such as astrology or luck,

but rather by our own choices, actions and decisions.

This is because we have free will and the ability to shape our own circumstances in life.

Essentially, the message is that we are responsible for creating and shaping our own future.

    Takeaways

    1. Take control of your life.

    2. Recognize your strengths and weaknesses.

    3. Develop skills and knowledge.

    4. Overcome obstacles and setbacks.

    5. Accept responsibility for your actions.

It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves

            • Self-knowledge Has No End

“The more you know yourself, the more clarity there is. Self-knowledge has no end - you don't come to an achievement, you don't come to a conclusion. It is an endless river.”

              ― J. Krishnamurti

Jiddu Krishnamurti Born 1895 was an Indian philosopher, () mystic, speaker, writer, and spiritual figure. Adopted by members of the Theosophical tradition as a child, he was raised to fill the advanced role of World Teacher, but in adulthood he rejected this mantle and distanced himself from the related religious movement.

Krishnamurti asserted that "truth is a pathless land" and advised against following any doctrine, discipline, teacher, guru, or authority, including himself. He emphasized topics such as choiceless awareness, psychological inquiry, and freedom from religious, spiritual, and cultural conditioning.

“In oneself lies the whole world and if you know how to look and learn, the door is there and the key is in your hand. Nobody on earth can give you either the key or the door to open, except yourself.

When you call yourself an Indian or a Muslim or a Christian or a European, or anything else, you are being violent.

Do you see why it is violent? Because you are separating yourself from the rest of mankind.

When you separate yourself by belief, by nationality, by tradition, it breeds violence.

So a man who is seeking to understand violence does not belong to any country, to any religion, to any political party or partial system; he is concerned with the total understanding of mankind.”

            • Respect Yourself

              10 Ways to Respect Yourself

              • Stop begging for attention—know your worth.
              • Focus on yourself: Do things you enjoy, like taking a class, joining a book club, or going to the gym. This can help you feel more fulfilled and become a better version of yourself

                • Say only what’s necessary—let your words have weight.
                • The law of silence: Speak little. Say only what you must. Speak only when necessary. Your oratory should be deeds, not words.

                  • Don’t chase those who aren’t chasing you.
                  •

The idea of not chasing people who aren't interested in you is based on the idea that it can be emotionally draining and harm your self-confidence and sense of self. It can also mean that you're making the person you're chasing too important to you

                    • Invest in yourself; prioritize your happiness.
                    • Prioritizing your happiness and investing in yourself means making your needs and desires a priority over others. It's a key aspect of self-care and can help you become the best version of yourself.

                      • Avoid gossip—focus on your own growth.
                      • Focus on your own life: You don't need to know about other people's lives, and it's freeing to focus on your own problems.
                      • Lead by example: Be professional and considerate of others, and act with integrity.
                      • Be inclusive: Make everyone feel welcome and important.
                      • Don't participate in gossip: If someone gossips about another person, you can kindly let them know you don't want to be involved.
                      • Address the gossiper: If someone spreads rumors about you, you can directly address them.
                      • Focus on healing: You can't control what people think about you, but you can control your attitude and actions.
                      • Encourage accountability: Foster a culture where people take responsibility for their actions
                      •

                        • Confront disrespect immediately—stand up for yourself.
                        • When someone disrespects you, you can try to confront them immediately by:

                          • Calling them in: Set a time and place to talk about what happened. You can let them know that the conversation may be difficult for both of you.
                          • Being open: Let them know you're disapproving of their behavior
                          •

                            • Balance relationships; don't rely too heavily on others.
                            • Healthy relationships are balanced and involve mutual respect, trust, and open communication. In a balanced relationship, neither partner relies too heavily on the other, and both people make an effort to compromise

                              • Dress with intention; let your style reflect your self-respect.
                              •

                                • Limit visits to those who don’t value your presence.
                                • reduce the amount of time you spend with people who don't seem to appreciate your company or make an effort to be around you, essentially prioritizing relationships where you feel valued and respected.

Think before you speak—words shape how others perceive you.

carefully consider the impact your words will have on how others see you, as the language you use directly influences people's perception of you; essentially, your words hold power and can significantly shape how others understand and judge you

                                  Respect Yourself
