Michel de Hey

After the great reactions to his recent releases on Pokerflat and Relief Records, label boss Michel de Hey returns to his own HEY! Records imprint with two top tracks he’s played intensively over the summer.

After 30 years in the game releasing on the likes of King Street NYC and Ovum Recordings, Michel de Hey is a well-established and vital figure in the underground scene. He has a big, bouncy sound that is always infectious and constantly innovative. When not touring the world he is laying down his high-quality productions, and these latest are two more that prove that once again.

Excellent opener ‘Baby Work Mine’ fits in smoothly with the huge Pokerflat release he did, and when the bassline kicks in it will bring a smile to faces as well as keep feet busy. It’s a chunky house tune with playful bass and chord vamps that make you want to wiggle.

On the fantastic flip, ‘HEYHO’ has been around for two years and has been a big last tune in Michel’s sets, so is a real anthem already. It is slightly different from his usual outings with sing-along African chords and piano stabs married to a loose house groove, and is destined to stick in your head until well beyond the next morning.

These are essential new tracks that are guaranteed to move the dance floor this autumn.

2017 yearmix with some of my favorite tracks from this great year! Ranging from music I listen in the morning to tracks I used in almost every set this year. Enjoy!

◈ KAROTTE VS. MICHEL DE HEY

It’s almost time for worlds biggest dance event again! This years ADE is going to be even more special for Michel and Karotte as they join forces on the 22nd of October in Wolf Atelier.

Since the last back 2 back session between these two DJ’s it could not be long before Michel and Karotte would enter the DJ booth together again. Their shared love and passion for good music, intimate locations and food brought them to Wolf..

◈ WOLF ATELIER

This location is housed in a large glass building which rests on a 100 years old railroad bridge near Amsterdam Central Station. During the day it is a high end restaurant runned by Michael Wolf and during ADE it will be an intimate club for 4 nights in a row. This means; remove all the furniture, place a crazy soundsystem, dim the lights and dance! With the sold out night at Restaurant Baut during ADE 2014 still fresh in our memory we are sure this will also be a night to remember.

◈ TICKETS

For only €10 you are part of this special party. You can get your tickets via www.micheldehey.com. This party is also open to ADE delegates.
