Michelle Explains Anime, Poorly

The gang buries a dog, reluctantly.
Safu can't bring her Picasso art book into No. 6.
Nezumi and Shion argue about No. 6 again, and Nezumi gets really mad. AGAIN.
That's idealism, Shion: [email protected]

Shion finally visits Nezumi at work.
Nezumi and Safu hear a song and see some bees, or possibly wasps.
Shion and Nezumi dance, much to my chagrin.
There's no way I can learn to dance, Nezumi!: [email protected]

Lots of prostitution in this episode for some reason.
Shion tries to kill a guy.
Nezumi is such a good kisser that he can make just about anyone swoon (suuuuure)!
I get very angry (sorry).
I don't need any change: [email protected]

Shion's out in the real world now, taking baths and eating soup in a basement apartment.
Also, yeah, there's that wasp thing...
I complain about Nezumi being kind of a jerk and briefly mention a fanfic.
We're in the garbage dump of the "Holy City", Shion:

Shion faces the repercussions of helping Nezumi escape, and they ain't great, but also they weren't totally terrible, until...
Bugs might be killing people, but I think they're cute.
I am unimpressed with how little empathy Nezumi shows despite how much he obviously cares.
I reference Pittsburgh and the New Jersey Turnpike in the same episode!
Welcome to reality, Shion: [email protected]

I talk a little about the light novel, manga, and anime production.

We meet Nezumi, Shion, and Safu.

Nezumi is a violent criminal, and Shion is insane, probably.

Among humans, there are those who hunt and those who are hunted, Shion: [email protected]

Oh, you wanted more Banana Fish content (it's ok, I know you really don't)? Here's how I feel about the dub 3 episodes in.

Listen if you care, skip if you don't!

I mean, a girl's gotta make a living, right Ash?: [email protected]

We're starting No. 6 on Oct. 1!

That's really it!

Alice continues to freak out about God, so Lain does something drastic.

I explain what I think the message is, and it will shock you (not really).

No, middle schoolers should not date their teachers.

But first, I discuss what we know about the upcoming Banana Fish English dub (sorry).

See you at the beginning of fall season for some anime, but I'm not sure which yet!

You love them? Isn't that right, Lain?: [email protected]

Things are getting really bad in the real world, and at least a couple people die.

Alice confronts Lain and basically just panics her whole way through the interaction.

God gets so upset that he materializes a body or something.

If that's true about me, what about you, God?: [email protected]
