Michigan Brews

Join us as we review some homebrew from viewers from around the state of Michigan.

We are going to be discussing the AHA - American Homebrewers Association. The AHA has a nationwide homebrewer community, and offers a ton of resources and benefits to its members. We will be joined by two of the AHA Governing Committee Members, Amy Martin and Gail Milburn, both local to Michigan!

We are going to be hanging out with Lance Shaner from Omega yeast! Dig into the history, biology, and science behind Omega!

Hey beer people! Or should it be mead people this week? We’ll be streaming live with Thom McGuire from Norse Nectar Meadery in Kalamazoo, MI for this episode. Grab your favorite bottle of fermented bee vomit and we’ll see you there!

We are going to hang out and try several home brews from local home brewers. Come have a beer with us, while we taste home brew and give what feedback we can!

With "Learn to Homebrew Day" being on November 7th, and this potentially being our last show before then, we thought it would be cool to do a show where we talk about brewing with basic gear and ingredients. Almost a Mr. Beer throwback episode!

We'll get into our first setups, ask you about yours, and talk about basic brewing gear, techniques, ingredients, styles, bottle conditioning and more.

And as always, drink too much on stream.

We are going to be chatting with Wes O'Leary, Head of Sales for Odd Side Ales! We will be digging in to all things Odd Sides... the history, seltzers, barrel aged beers, and what's in the future for Odd Side. So grab a beer and come hang out!

We are going to be hanging out with Nikki DeClercq (and maybe others), organizer of the Michigan Beer Cup. We will be chatting about what it takes to pull off the biggest homebrew competition in Michigan. Come have a beer with us!

We've been in the mood for lagers lately, and with the traditional Oktoberfest season at hand what better styles to talk about. Grab your favorite bottles and we'll catch up with you Monday!

We will be hanging out with Jeremy Gavin, President of PrimeTime Brewers Homebrew Club out of Grand Rapids. Come have a beer and learn about West Michigan's Premier Homebrew Club :)
