The Chelsea Lumber Company has been a bedrock of this southeastern Michigan community for over a century. The company dates back to 1908 and has been owned in all or in part by the Daniels Family since the 1920's. President and Co-Owner, the late Bob Daniels, began working part time, shoveling coal, while a student at Chelsea High School in the 1940's. In those days, the company motto was "Where the Home Begins" and it remains the same to this day.
