Some people take it recreationally, while other say it it works for pain management, with opioid-like effects.

Speaker Matt Hall held a news conference Wednesday to discuss an effort in the Michigan House to take Kratom off store shelves in the state. Right now, it's unregulated, and Hall says it's unacceptable that "this dangerous and addictive drug" is widely available to kids in corner stores and gas stations.
