November 25, 2025: Michigan State played the East Carolina Pirates in the tipoff for the Fort Meyers Classic and won 89-56. It was an impressive performance from the Spartans who led wire to wire and carried a very good first half into and through the entire second. We never saw MSU let up and extended their 23 point half time lead to over 40 before the walk-ons made it in the game.

Aside from the suffocating defense, the Spartans exhibited another game over 40% from 3 point range and are now averaging over 32% from 3 which puts them solidly in the middle of the pack nationally in shooting. Now MSU will take on the Tar Heels on Thanksgiving Day which will obviously be much stiffer competition.
