The initial College Football Playoff rankings were released Tuesday, and Michigan State is No. 3, behind Georgia and Alabama. 

That's what happens when you win an unbeaten, top-10 showdown like the Spartans did in beating Michigan on Saturday. Now comes the hard part, sustaining the success and not getting caught in a potential "trap game" vs. Purdue.
